Genesis Medical Center-DeWitt has served DeWitt and surrounding communities with compassionate, high quality care since 1952. Throughout the years, the hospital has successfully responded to a growing population and an evolving health care delivery system. Services provided at GMC-DeWitt include 24 hour emergency care; on-site rehabilitation services including speech, occupational, physical and respiratory therapy; IV treatments including antibiotics, transfusions and chemotherapy; pain management; specialized wound care; radiology including CT scanning, digital mammography and ultrasounds and out patient procedures and surgeries including cataracts, colonoscopies, gallbladders, cyst removals, biopsies, knee scopes, and pain management.

GMC-DeWitt was named a "Most Wired Rural Hospital" for use of information technology in providing safe and quality care. In 2013, GMC-DeWitt was awarded Pathway to Excellence® designation by the American Nurses Credentialing Center, a designation which recognizes healthcare organizations for positive practice environments where nurses excel.
