The Central Community Historical Museum offers numerous permanent and rotating displays that capture the history of the area. Items in the museum range from tools of Native American tribes to household items from the 1950's.  The Museum has memorabilia from DeWitt’s history, as well as a vibrant cross section of pieces from the Midwestern covering more than 150 years of history.  Research materials for genealogy can also be found at the museum, including county atlases from 1868 to the present time, obituaries and cemetery records, county histories, marriage and birth records, family histories and more.
